Today's warmer-air, high efficiency heat pump systems can be a great way to heat and cool your home.  Now that PECO’s Electric Heat rate is being fazed out for existing customers, and not available to new ones, the cost to operate a heat pump system is a real concern.  If you are a PECO gas customer, you are probably best off using a gas system, but everyone else (PGW gas, oil, propane) should still be considering the use of a heat pump and/or “Dual Fuel” system.  Let our professionals help you evaluate all of the options available to you.

As mentioned on the Air Conditioner page, ductless split systems can now provide comfort in up to eight rooms with a single outdoor unit.  These "multi-split" systems actually provide cooling and heating since the outdoor unit is a super-efficient heat pump.  We've used these systems to heat and cool an entire house - they aren't for everyone, but they can provide the ultimate in comfort AND energy savings since you only condition the rooms currently being used.
